Yeah, things weren't great since...last week, I admit. Got a whole lotta things going on my head. Knowing that party was getting close was beginning to really wear me down.
But I dunno if i would have said anything even if you had tried to poke me. I mean, even before I was, uh, in magic booze stupor.
[For as much as he tries to be there for others, the thought someone could do the same for him baffles him, really]
Yeah. A lot. Hardly could think about anything else, gotta admit. I wasn't...looking forward to being there.
[And knowing himself, he was going to do his hardest to beat Satan in a drinking contest and then get himself back to life. Filbo doesn't hold back, trying to win was what he undoubtedly would do.
...but he didn't 100% want to go back to life. Not because he wanted to stay dead, but because he didn't want to resume the life he had]
The prize. Gotta be honest with you, I wasn't exactly happy back when I was alive. But here in hell it's been...I actually enjoyed knowing you all.
So to go back to a life that would be worse than what I had before-- [What with him having lost the only person who did think of him as a friend] --after having known you all and how...how kind you all are, that thought really was beginning to hurt.
[That wasn't the sole reason how he ended up murdering someone, but it's undeniable to him that was a big factor.
Also, Filbo picks up Aqua, holding her carefully. Come here, precious cat]

I'm not aware of any rule that says we'll have to return to our original homes. Perhaps it would be possible to go to... a kinder world, than the one you've known.
[meanwhile, aqua purrs and snuggles up against filbo.]

[There's an unspoken but there, but there's probably no use in pushing it at this point. What's done is done.]
... You're worried about the party?
